The Artwork of Antonio

Blanco

Situated in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, the Blanco Renaissance Museum is a cultural treasure trove dedicated to the artistic legacy of Antonio Blanco and his family, offering visitors an immersive journey through his life and works.

Founded by Antonio Blanco, a Manila-born artist who fell in love with Bali, the museum showcases his colorful and evocative paintings. Known for their fusion of Balinese themes with surrealistic influences, Blanco’s artworks often represent sensuous interpretations of Balinese women and mythological scenes.

Vision in Art

After moving to Bali in 1952, Blanco built his home and studio in Ubud, which later became the museum, inaugurated in December 1998. The museum's grand palatial building, a blend of Balinese and Spanish architectural styles, houses over 300 of Blanco's paintings and drawings, as well as sculptures, collages, and illustrated poetry.
